Project Description

In the scope of our current Nanotera project FlusiTex we develop novel wound pads for the non-invasive monitoring of the wound healing process based on fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM). The pad targeted by FlusiTex has integrated indicator dyes to measure pH, oxygen and various metabolites in the wound exudate in order to give valuable information about the healing status of the wound, predict a potential chronical development and adjust the treatment accordingly. The patch is interrogated by measuring the change in fluorescence lifetime of the dyes with a specially developed FLIM reader.
