Project Description

iCAN 2012 follows the idea of iCAN 2011, where national student teams are participating in a team contest to develop new applications using commercial sensor devices. From initially 5 Swiss teams participating in iCAN 2011, 2 teams were selected to participate at the finals in Beijing, June 2011. Both teams performed very well during this exciting event during Transducers conference in the National Science and Technology Museum. One of the teams who was working on a sensor interface for iphones won the third prize and received extensive media coverage. This topic has gained increasing interest and is currently part of a Venture start-up training program.
